Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, like the resort’s other initial rides themed to the world of the boy wizard, is spectacular.
The Hagrid Motorbike Adventure is a hybrid dark ride and roller coaster located in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure. Unlike nearly every other attraction that attempts to combine the thrills of a roller coaster with the immersive storytelling of a major E-Ticket ride, Universal has made no compromises. It’s both a richly themed, convincing attraction with stunning animatronics as well as other captivating elements and a full-throated, screamtastic coaster.

However, only those near the front of the train must climb 65 feet. The passengers in the back barely raise their heads.
Go Backwards: Because the train can’t move forward on the spike, it reverses direction. For inexperienced riders, this can be a frightening experience. However, the Hagrid coaster does not travel very fast when traveling backward, as well as the reverse motion doesn’t last long. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Expedition Everest includes a backward section. If you enjoy that attraction, you’ll enjoy Universal’s ride. The train doesn’t really retrace its steps due to a track switch but instead continues in a different direction.

On a scale of 0 to 10, we believe the Hagrid coaster is a 6.5, possibly a 7 due to the vertical drop. It is a bit extreme, but not as much as many other coasters. We offer the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit coaster as well as the Hulk coaster 8s for thrill levels when compared to other Universal Orlando rides. On the same scale, Harry Potter as well as the Escape From Gringotts receives a 4.
